Youth Empowerment in Agripreneurship Programme (YEAP)

Busitema University Agro Entrepreneurship Centre executes different programmes. Currently in the offering is the YEAP-300-Pilot project funded by the Government of the Republic of Uganda.

YEAP-300-Pilot project is aimed at creating a scalable model that can improve the socio-economic conditions of Ugandans.

Mission

To equip youth agripreneurs who possess technical competence and patriotic responsibility, integrity, compassion, loyalty, excellence, and physical vitality necessary to develop profitable agribusiness enterprises and become self-employed whilst creating employment opportunities for others.

About Us

Our journey started with the establishment of a Youth Empowerment in Agripreneurship Programme (YEAP) at Akwa Ibom State University, at Uyo, Nigeria from January 2022 to May 2023.

The Institute for National Transformation (INT) International created a centre for Ethical and Moral Leadership (CEMoL) as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to interface the Ministry of Agriculture, Directorate of Agricultural Investment, and Faculty of Agriculture at Akwa Ibom State University, and INT.
