Busitema University Agro Entrepreneurship Centre (BUAEC) is inviting applications for its first Youth Empowerment in Agripreneurship Programme (YEAP-100-2024 TESO) pilot project.
The program aims to train 100 youths in the Teso sub-region of Eastern Uganda in various agricultural value chains. The selected candidates will be equipped to establish and manage profitable agribusiness enterprises.
To qualify, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, come from the Teso sub-region, and have completed O-Level (Senior 4).
They must also possess the National Identification Number (NIN) and meet specific land requirements for different enterprises.
The deadline for applications is September 27, 2024.

YEAP participants are taken through various stages of theoretical and hands-on training for them to acquire balanced knowledge on their agribusinesses.
Youths who may not want to participate in farming directly are encouraged to establish enterprises within the agriculture value- chain such as equipment rentals, supply of feeds, pesticides, and herbicides.
